Booby on a Plane?

A common problem for many of my candidates is the problem of becoming pigeon-holed. After working many years in a specific industry, say Automotive for example, one may find themselves thinking “so where do I go from here?” For the most obvious solution to the above problem, we turn to the blue-footed booby (see picture). As the world awaits the upcoming release of the cinematographic masterpiece, “Snakes on a Plane,” we also wonder anxiously “what comes after snakes?” “How can the movie industry possibly progress from this movie of all movies?” The idea for successful sequels is to make alterations to your repertoire significant enough to be interesting, but also relevant to the past. If you are in Automotive, you can move to an account working on tires. Tires are on cars, so it is relatable. For the sequel to “Snakes,” the genius writers could perhaps introduce another menacing animal to the plane setting. Blue-footed boobies, like snakes, are vicious animals that could also be released on a plane and later killed by S. Jackson. But the boobies bring new and interesting aspects into the genre of commercial plane/animal combat. First of all, they would allow for a great deal of situational irony (the boobies can already fly, why would they be on a plane?), and the endangered animals would also bring important environmental issues to the forefront. Samuel L. Jackson would then, of course, kill all the birds with bullets, solving everyone’s problems. Taking minor steps until you reach your goal, be it packaged goods, retail, oddly colored birds, whatever it is you desire, is a realistic way to maneuver through the Advertising world. Your resume will be diversified, and you will bring a fresh eye to new accounts. Then you will be as triumphant as Samuel in the last scene of “Blue-Footed Boobies on a Plane,” where he stands alone amidst a flurry of feathers and bloodied, severed blue feet, having killed all the mother f*&%$#@ blue-footed boobies on the mother f#@$^& plane.
