Jennifer Wentzel
Jennifer graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in English and the belief that her ten year plan for world domination was fool-proof. Two weeks and four wisdom teeth later she realized that life outside of the college bubble was a series of worsening disappointments. Having completed her quarter-life crisis three years ahead of schedule, Jennifer took a job with Publicis & Hal Riney and fell in love with advertising. Her passion for the industry survived the dramatic and bitter loss of the Saturn account (Et tu, Goodby?) and continued to grow when she moved on to Euro.
The second lay-off in as many years nearly broke Jennifer’s smallish heart, however, and she ran screaming to client-side for a respite from the soap opera her career had become. Content for about a month at a privately owned company, she began advocating for change and was almost instantly labeled “radically impatient.” In her opinion, client-side culture leaves much to be desired…really. So Jennifer went on the hunt for a job that worked for her. Struggling to figure out why it was so difficult to find a job that didn’t make her want to kill herself, Jennifer eventually realized that she’d been logging on to an opportunity for two years: Talent Zoo!
So now she loves her job and coworkers and spends every day working to put other people in that same happy head-space. And loveliest of all, she’s still able to immerse herself in the industry she loves best.
