I was born and raised in Miami, FL. Yes, I can speak Spanish and dance salsa -it’s required. After graduating from Lourdes Academy, I headed off to Savannah College of Art & Design. Realizing that I was a true artist (i.e. weird); I spent three and half years with all the beautiful, pierced, pink haired, gum chewing, tattooed freaks (I was one of them) and received a degree in Illustration and Art History (clearly becoming filthy rich was not at the top of my list). Once I received my degree, I moved to Atlanta and began my freelance career (shocking, I know). I now spend my days wearing my creative recruiter hat and perusing the work of others and helping them find a place to call home and at night I labor over my own work. I am still freelancing-mostly editorial illustrations and working on getting my first children’s book published. I hope to be a children’s book writer & illustrator when I grow up! Till then, I am very happy dreaming up new vegan recipes at home with my partner, Howell, while our two kittens chase each other feverishly around the house.
