The Hiring Timetable.
“What was that recruiters name?? It’s been at least a good three weeks… Was it Mike? No, it was Eric. Was it even a guy? Maybe it was a Jen. Who knows??†Yes it can be a along time between recruiter calls. Sometimes it can be so long that you may forget your recruiter’s name. Don’t worry; we won’t get offended easily at Talent Zoo. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the hiring process does have one key ingredient that most agencies pour on in ample amounts. That key ingredient is the time it takes to make a hire. I just got flight itinerary today for a candidate I sent to a client in July; early July!! The hiring process takes time. There’s the initial resume feedback, the phone interview with HR, the phone interview with the account team, arranging the flight to the agency, the full day of interviews, the team meetings afterwards to decide that they want to make a hire, the approval of and putting together of an offer. Anyone who goes into the hiring process expecting immediate results is crazy. Great agencies are great agencies because the talent they bring on board. Deciding on the proper talent takes time.
