The little details count
Now I’m not trying to stay on a politics kick but sometimes there are just interesting stories that revolve around it. Especially since it’s an election year all eyes are on the candidates and their staff. It’s a historical year for politics. Not only is there a black man running for president but there is a woman running for vice president. It’s great. Anyways, you have to wonder what runs through Obama’s head when anyone from his campaign team starts blowing up his phone. I’m sure it happened when Ludacris wrote his support Obama song, Obama is here. But just the other day Vice Presidental nominee Joe Biden had a nice little mess up that probably cost someone on their team their job. During a rally in Columbia, MO. Biden was giving praise and when he got to Chuck Graham he urged the lawmaker to “stand up Chuck, let ‘em see ya.” But Graham, who is in a wheelchair, can’t stand up - a fact Biden quickly picked up on. “God love ya, what am I talking about,” Biden said. He then had everyone in the crowd stand up for Chuck while walking over to shake his hand and apologize. Like I said I’m sure someone on his staff got fired after that due to that minor bit of information.
Don’t leave anything out. That’s why we stress practicing for your interview and go over your resume with you. Things that you do that aren’t listed on your resume such as interactive experience, which is a booming market, is something you shouldn’t forget to talk about on your resume and in an interview. That could be the thing that gets you hired. This is your career you’re dealing with. Wouldn’t you go through everything with a fine tooth comb and not half ass it?
