Keepin’ It Real, Yo

If you ever read my bio , you’ll see that I moved around a lot as a kid. As a result, I don’t have any sort of accent. I do, however, now have this annoying habit of pretending to speak with a thick southern accent. I have cultivated it to such an art form that now, I kind of just speak like that. I don’t mean like a Jo-Juh Peach. I mean, like what we affectionately refer to in these parts as a Redneck. (I say this with a due amount of respect as I am really only two generations away…

Shawn “Jib Jab Drivel” Webster

joyce1.jpgI am the spawn of a mad scientist’s experiment; he attempted to mix the genes of Dick Yorke and Shane MacGowan of the Pogues in an effort to make the most ironic suburbanite known to man. In this, he ultimately failed when out came I, the less-than-super-groovy (just somewhat groovy) sponge for all things Nauseum wherever I have to travel to find it.

Ironic, though I may be; suburban I try to deny; nomadic, I ultimately am. An aspiring beatnic of the modern era who does not have the same ambitions nor the same demons that inspired those of the…

Shannon’s Bio

>shannon3.jpg.bmpI have had a lot of strange jobs, so maybe it makes sense that I’m now an A&M Recruiter at a place with "Zoo" in the title.  I have been both a Party Animal (yes, that was the name of the place) where I dressed up as Snow White and the Little Mermaid for children’s birthday parties and I also used to sing on Tuesday nights at a local cafeteria for the over 70s crowd.  For a while there, I was also a full-time Mommy to the best two children in all the land.

In addition, I have also held some real jobs…

Kate’s Bio

peyton.bmpKate comes to Talent Zoo as a graduate of the highly prestigious University of Tennessee in Knoxville (Go Vols! Go Peyton!), where she studied Public Relations. After graduating from college, Kate moved back to Atlanta, where she grew up. Kate then landed a job at Adair-Greene Healthcare where she served as an Account Coordinator and then Account Executive for such sexy accounts as Terumo Catheters and Duac Acne Cream. Currently Kate brings her advertising experience as the Senior Southeast Recruiter here at Talent Zoo. When she’s not working, Kate can be found cheering on Big Orange or sleeping.

Thais’ Bio

Blog_pic.jpgI come to Atlanta by way of New Orleans, LA. I spent my formative years eating crawfish in the spring, sno-balls in the summer, oysters in the winter, and po-boys all year ’round. In 1997 I reluctantly left that great city to pursue higher education on scholarship to Oglethorpe University. I did my four years’ time and graduated with degrees in Communications and French. Before joining the team at Talent Zoo, I worked several years for an apartment locating service and then in real estate marketing. My main reason for working (besides to pay bills and eat) is to travel as…

Adrienne

I was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Not Mexico, New Mexico…You wouldn’t’t believe how many people don’t know the difference. After high school, I attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville on an athletic scholarship. GO BIG ORANGE! Being that I’m 6′1 barefooted, everyone assumes that I played basketball for the Lady Vols but I actually earned a scholarship to pitch for the women’s fast pitch softball team. My sophomore year I declared Accounting as my major but then I became bored with numbers and had a need for something a little more creative so I made the switch to…

Chantel Bio

I am from Toronto, Ontario Canada (yes, born & raised). The number 1 question that you are probably asking yourself is “Does she speak French?” Well, yes, I do! I was in a French Immersion program all throughout school, which meant that all my classes were in French except English of course. I relocated to Atlanta about 6 years ago and attended Georgia State University, culture shock anyone?…a university in the middle of downtown Atlanta will definitely weird anyone out…vagrants sleeping in the library, dorms 10 minutes away from the campus WOW. After getting a degree in Public Relations and…

Idalys Bio

I was born and raised in Miami, FL. Yes, I can speak Spanish and dance salsa -it’s required. After graduating from Lourdes Academy, I headed off to Savannah College of Art & Design. Realizing that I was a true artist (i.e. weird); I spent three and half years with all the beautiful, pierced, pink haired, gum chewing, tattooed freaks (I was one of them) and received a degree in Illustration and Art History (clearly becoming filthy rich was not at the top of my list). Once I received my degree, I moved to Atlanta and began my freelance career (shocking,…

Annette Filliat

Bonjour! Zut alors!

Despite her prominent French heritage, she was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. Annette is the quintessential Southern Belle who loves good manners, sharp wit and boiled peanuts. After graduating from Stetson University with a B.A. in Communications, she returned to HOTlanta and worked as a media planner for The Home Depot.

After a year of planning media…

Jennifer Wentzel

Jennifer graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in English and the belief that her ten year plan for world domination was fool-proof. Two weeks and four wisdom teeth later she realized that life outside of the college bubble was a series of worsening disappointments. Having completed her quarter-life crisis three years ahead of schedule, Jennifer took a job with Publicis & Hal Riney and fell in love with advertising. Her passion for the industry survived the dramatic and bitter loss of the Saturn account (Et tu, Goodby?) and continued to grow when she moved on to Euro.

The second…
